IIT Kanpur Research and Technology Park Foundation, with the brand name Technopark@iitk, is a Section 8 not-for-profit company aimed at facilitating and accelerating industry-academia R&D collaborations to boost co-development of cutting-edge indigenous technologies in line with the national priorities. In operations since March 2019, Technopark@iitk is fully owned and promoted by IIT Kanpur.

• Innovators (Resident Companies): Allows companies to avail wide range of benefits offered by Technopark, leverage IIT Kanpur's R&D strengths, and seek deeper engagement through collocation within the IITK campus by setting up their R&D centers in Technopark. The office/lab spaces fall under three categories#:
• CAT-A - For startups graduating from incubators with whom Technopark has a strategic collaboration. A discount of 40% on the baseline rent* is offered for two years, after which the company is moved to CAT-B.
• CAT-B - For MSMEs (annual turnover < Rs. 10 crores). A discount of 20% on the baseline rent* is offered.
• CAT-C – For all other companies, the baseline rent* is applicable.

*Baseline Rent: Rs 55 per sq. ft. of super built up area (SBUA). SBUA is 125% of carpet area.

• Pioneers (Affiliate Companies): Allows companies to leverage IIT Kanpur's R&D strengths and avail the wide range of benefits offered by Technopark.
  Membership Fee is Rs 50,000 for the first year and Rs. 1 lakh per annum for the subsequent years (GST charges applicable).
