Mission

Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (known by its acronym UPEIDA) was set up by the State Government under the U.P. Industrial Areas Development Act 1976, in December 2007 for the development of Expressways in Uttar Pradesh. This is a newly established Organisation with a lean and laborious employee base, on a contract or on a deputation basis from State Revenue Department/PWD, among them, few are deployed on a retainer ship basis or by a service provider.

Vision

The prestigious Agra-Lucknow Expressway, a flagship project of the Government of U.P. undertaken by UPEIDA, is completed in an unprecedented time. A fast corridor connecting the State Capital with Agra and further to the National Capital. The inauguration of this expressway has been done on 21.11.2016.

This Expressway shall also catalyse the development and setting up of Handlooms, Food Processing, Cold storage, Warehousing and Milk based industries and will provide opportunities for setting up new Industrial Training Institutes, Educational Institutes, Medical Institutes and will help in the establishment of New Satellite/Smart Cities.

Besides this Expressway Project, UPEIDA has also Implemented three Access Controlled Expressway Projects named the “Purvanchal Expressway Project, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway” in EPC mode. These Expressway Project Have been Conceived as critical high-speed access Controlled road infrastructure between the Eastern, and Southern regions of Uttar Pradesh and the State Capital as well as the national capital of the country.

Besides the above Expressway Projects,  UPEIDA also has immense to develop Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj. This expressway will provide a high-speed Expressway corridor connecting the Eastern, Northern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh to the national Capital.
